Not sure whether i'm not used to sleeping here or what? I woke up super early this morning which is kinda surprising for me cause i'm that type that don't wanna leave the bed every morning i wakes up. It was kinda boring being the first to wake up and need to wait for the 2 sleepy heads that i started arranging my room again = OCD haha!
I miss my room, my bed and most importantly Singapore. Its so difficult to fall asleep here. The pillows are so soft that it felt like nothing when i lie on it. The blankets and the heater are not warm enough to defend against 6 degree celcius outside my window T_T Haha there are loads of complains but its all because i'm still not used to living in Melbourne. Hopefully i'll be able to get use to it within these few days~
After waiting for pig alan to wake up from his lalaland, we are hitting the road to grocery shopping! The fruits are so cheap over there OMG! Luckily i'm kinda a food lover so its like my heaven! Strawberries per container is AUD 1.50, kiwi 6 for AUD 2, the milk carton of 2 litres is AUD 4, the butter of 250 g is like AUD 1.39. I just wanna buy many many butter to bring back and bake. I can back so many different types of desserts or pastry without feeling the headache of using the expensive butter. It is so freaking cheap compared to Singapore. However the eggs are kinda expensive, 12 eggs for AUD 3.80. Bought all the spices, ingredients for many a week?
#Lesson 1: Know how much you can carry before buying.
Our arms feel like its gonna break from carries bags and bags of heavy groceries. Its kinda a long way from waiting for bus to walking back home from the bus stop.
Chef Alan finally start work by preparing us with aglio olio with seasoned mushrooms and Chef Terrence prepared us with his specialty, grilled chicken breast fillet. I just brew myself a cup of Lipton black tea~ It is so delicious enjoying our late lunch!
A 15 minutes walk to the Monash University from our house. Every morning walk to school and evening walk back home under the cold weather is kinda torturous to us. Just hope that the winter faster pass by so that spring will arrive and then finally summer! Monash University is so beautiful and huge! I'm still not prepared to start internship! Everything happens so suddenly, right after exams, we only have a few days to enjoy before we need to pack up and leave for Australia and 2 days to get familiarize with the environment and then we need to start internship. Who knows what we are gonna do during the internship but hopefully not too tough and no overtime.
Mac Donald's for Dinner. Their mac Donald's here are so different from Singapore however their fries are so much better than Singapore ones. The night and the morning are freezing especially with the breeze. Still cant get use to it.
#Lesson 2: Check the time of the bus arrival before waiting for the bus in the cold.
So we waited out in the cold for 20 minutes before the bus back home arrives. Jumping, jogging, hopping and shivering are what we did in the 20 minutes waiting time.
