Day 7 in Melbourne

The day i've been waiting for since monday has arrived. Collected my Monash ID, gotten my keys to my office and lab, done with my risk assessment and TADA i can enter the lab and do some chemical reactions~ Been reading all the journal papers and finally i can get some hands-on. The apparatus here are way too different from the ones in Singapore. In Singapore, our dropper are plastic ones and over here, they uses pasteur pipette which is made of glass and its a one time use only. The TLC plates are self cut also. Everything here is so damn cool. I get to do staining and use heat gun to view the compounds that do not show under UV light. I cant wait to do all the reactions. So many more new things to learn. Things that we will never learn in Singapore~ Although i miss home like super much, i will never ever regret coming to Monash University for 3 months internship :)
